Compare the listed blends and formats

Start with format, blend and pack size, not the colour of the bag alone. The collection contains whole beans, ground coffee and a multi-bag case. A similarly named product is not automatically the same format or quantity.

Crema e Aroma BrownWhole beans, 1kg
Crema e Aroma BlueWhole beans, 1kg
Dek DecafWhole beans, 500g

Check the current product details before ordering. In particular, the Qualità Rossa listing reached through the URL ending “coffee-beans-1kg” is labelled ground coffee in this collection. Use the stated format and pack quantity rather than interpreting the URL as a product specification.

Choosing a blend for your equipment

Whole beans need a suitable grinder

Choose roasted coffee beans if you have a separate grinder or a compatible bean-to-cup machine. A manual espresso machine, moka pot, filter brewer or cafetiere needs grounds prepared for that method; whole beans cannot go straight into its brewing basket.

For equipment with an integrated grinder, check its hopper instructions before filling it. A ground-coffee bypass, where fitted, is a different inlet with its own limits. Do not put pre-ground coffee into a bean hopper unless the manufacturer specifically instructs you to.

Ground coffee is a separate format

The two Qualità Rossa products currently listed here are labelled ground coffee, despite this collection’s bean-focused heading. Check the grind suitability on the exact pack and your brewer’s instructions before choosing either multipack.

Pre-ground coffee is convenient when you do not have a grinder, but one grind is not ideal for every machine. Do not assume that a product works unchanged in espresso, filter and French press equipment simply because it is already ground.

Use tasting notes as a starting point

The Qualità Oro beans listing describes a 100% Arabica medium roast with floral and fruity aromatic notes and intensity 5/10. These are details for that regular 1kg blend, not a specification for every gold-coloured bag or the separate Dark Roast version.

Those aromatic notes describe the flavour profile; they do not mean fruit or flowers have been added. The listing describes six varieties of Arabica beans from Central and South America. It is a blend, not a claim that every bag comes from one farm.

When comparing with Crema e Aroma, Super Crema, Gran Espresso or Gold Selection, check each product’s own composition, roast and serving recommendations. Do not transfer Qualità Oro’s Arabica percentage or intensity rating to another blend.

Intensity is not a caffeine measurement

A flavour-intensity rating is not a stated amount of caffeine per cup. It cannot tell you how much caffeine you will consume from a particular dose or brew. Compare the exact product information rather than treating a higher number as a caffeine calculation.

Dek Decaf is listed in a 500g whole-bean format. Check its current pack for the blend’s details; do not describe decaffeinated coffee as completely caffeine-free without a product-specific basis.

Prepare a repeatable drink

Set a recipe for your brewer

Start with the equipment manufacturer’s guidance for dose, water and preparation. Measure what you use rather than relying on a universal scoop. A recipe for a small espresso basket is not a recipe for a large cafetiere.

For espresso, change the grind in small steps and keep the dose consistent while testing. If the flow changes, check basket preparation and the machine as well as the grinder. Avoid changing several settings at once, because you will not know which change affected the result.

Keep methods separate

A moka pot, filter brewer and French press use different brewing systems. Record a separate grind and recipe for each rather than assuming one setting will work everywhere. Follow the equipment instructions for water level, loading and heating.

For milk-based drinks, test the chosen blend in your actual serving size. The amount of milk affects the finished flavour, so compare like-for-like drinks rather than judging one blend as an espresso and another in a large latte.

Pack sizes, portions and storage

Single bags and multi-bag cases

Check the total order quantity. A Barista Perfetto case listed as 6 x 1kg is different from one 1kg bag. The Qualità Rossa multipacks also need their bag count checked, while Dek Decaf is listed as 500g.

For a first order, consider how quickly you will use each opened bag before choosing a larger case. Estimate portions from your measured recipe dose and usable pack weight, allowing for dialling-in, trials and preparation losses.

Store unopened and opened packs carefully

Follow the current pack instructions. Keep supplies away from heat, moisture and direct sunlight. After opening, close the pack securely or use an appropriate food-safe airtight container, and grind only what you need for the preparation.

The best-before date belongs to the individual pack. It cannot be inferred from a category page, and opening a bag changes how you manage it. Label your opening date if several staff members share supplies.

Build a simple recipe record

  • Write down the full blend name and whether it is whole-bean or ground.
  • Record the grinder setting, dose, water quantity and finished serving size.
  • Keep separate instructions for each brewing method and decaf option.
  • Recheck the recipe when changing blend or pack specification.

Questions before ordering

Are Crema e Aroma Brown and Blue interchangeable?

They are separate listings. Compare their exact descriptions and current packs before substituting one for the other; the shared Crema e Aroma name does not establish identical composition or preparation.

Can these products be used in a capsule-only machine?

Whole beans and ground coffee are not capsules. Check your machine’s supported format. Do not choose one of these listings on the assumption that a brand name guarantees compatibility with every machine sold by that brand.

Where can I compare other options?

Browse our coffee beans collection or ground coffee range for other formats. Check current delivery information before planning an order; this page does not set a separate dispatch deadline.
